Beyond Contact Hours: What do multilingual and transnational students do and learn outside the classroom?
In this presentation we question the increased institutional focus on ‘contact hours’ between students and staff in British HEIs by looking at what multilingual and transnational students do and learn with and from each other, and how they do it. The presentation raises further questions for investigation, and serves as an introduction to subsequent presentations in by representatives of doctoral students and early career researchers reflecting on their own experiences as multilingual transnationals in British universities.
