Gàidhlig @ Oilthigh Ghlaschu: The practicalities and approach to developing Gaelic language and culture beyond the classroom and within an international community.
An overview of the University of Glasgow’s Gaelic language initiative and subsequent Gaelic language policy. This presentation will illustrate the practical approaches that have been adopted to enable students at Glasgow University to meaningfully engage with, and use Gaelic language on a regular basis regardless of their chosen area of study. It will also include an outline of forthcoming developments to the language initiative that will allow students across the city of Glasgow, to benefit from it.
